Young Scientist Exhibition
The Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition commonly called "the Young Scientist", is an annual competition that has been held in Dublin, Ireland every January since 1965 for encouraging interest in science in secondary and primary schools. There were 1,616 entries for the 2009 contest, five hundred of which were selected for the Exhibition at the RDS Arena..
There are four categories in which projects are awarded to: biology, physics, social and behavioral sciences and technology. Analog Devices sponsors the technology section each year. Every year Analog host a fun filled, action packed exhibit in the RDS, highlighting the fun elements of Science and Technology.
In order to make this exhibit happen a group of up to 20 young engineers voluntarily give their spare time to develop games, puzzles, challanges and interactive demonstrations all aimed at promotion of science and technology. Padraic O Reilly has developed projects in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The Labview based PODs quizz and reaction game apeared on a Childrens TV program.

Other Interests
I am interested in web design and I completed a web design course to use Dreamweaver.
Soccer: I am part of a talented team in Limerick, Mungret Regional. I used to play with a team in Galway where we were promoted 4 years in a row and I also played with work mates in Analog. I also played with the University of Limerick. My only achievement at college level was winning a Crowley cup plate.
Football: I have won 5 county underage medals for Mountbellew Moylough playing Gaelic Football and a Connaught (B) medal for my secondary school. I currently play football with Mungret GAA, Co. Limerick. I captained Analog Devices to Limerick inter-firm glory. I was also an All-Ireland senior inter-firms runner-up a different year.
Others: Tag rugby, orienteering. I enjoy most outdoor activities. I also played the violin (Suzuki method). I have taken part in two musical productions while in secondary school.
Coaching: I coached underage soccer and I have a keen interest in resuming and becoming successful.
Driving: I hold a full driving licence.
Languages: I take Spanish lessons & I enjoy speaking in Spanish.
